The meter measures Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) and Forced Expiratory Volume in 1-second (FEV1) . The intended use would be as a self-monitoring device for use at home in addition to your usual care by a healthcare professional. It can be used by anyone who may benefit from the home assessment of lung function such as those with asthma or COPD.
